The Quarterly Note

A Special Thanks & Free Drum Book Prize!

The Quarterly Note is my way of saying thanks and giving back to the drumming community in a small but meaningful (and fun) way. Each quarter, one lucky subscriber gets a prize: a handwritten, personalized note and a signed physical copy of one of the books from this site, inscribed just for you. The book is chosen at random and mailed directly to your door.

All you have to do to enter is sign up for email notifications to stay updated on new drumline, pit, and drumset warmups. Want a better shot at winning? Share a post on Instagram or Facebook about which of my books or warmups you’ve already been using, and how they’ve helped you so far, tagging me for an extra entry! It’s that simple: enjoy free content, stay in the loop, and maybe score a free book just for being part of the community. No purchase necessary, and with more music and publications always coming, the Quarterly Note just keeps getting better!

How it works:

When you sign up for email notifications from PatrickBlakley.com, you’ll be notified whenever new music, posts, publications, or events are released. You can also use the form to request specific warmups or music, helping shape future content.

Each quarter, one winner is selected and contacted using the email address provided at signup. To claim the prize, simply reply to the notification email with your mailing information, and your package will be sent directly to you.

The Note and Prize:

Each prize includes a note on a professional cardstock postcard along with an autographed and inscribed copy of one of Patrick R. F. Blakley’s publications. The specific book is selected at random and may include titles such as Drummy Drum Joins Marchy Band or its companion activities book, Drummond: Learning to Find Himself in the Music, The Field Percussion User Manual, Quadratics: The Tenor Drum Equation, or the Drumline & Pit Warmup Packet. (Note that the Sight-Reading Booklet is not included because you can already get that for FREE here!)

All books are new, though they may show minor signs of handling from the signing and inscription process.

No purchase necessary. One winner will be selected at random at the end of each calendar quarter (March 30, June 30, September 30, and December 30). The winner will be notified via the email address provided at signup. The winner must respond within 30 days to claim the prize. At that time, the winner must provide a valid mailing address within the contiguous United States for prize delivery. Open only to legal residents of the contiguous United States (excluding Alaska and Hawaii). Signing up does not guarantee eligibility for the giveaway. Entries are subject to verification and must meet all eligibility criteria. Submission of an entry constitutes agreement to eligibility verification. I reserve the right to verify entries and determine eligibility. If there are no new eligible entries during a given quarter, the drawing may be deferred to the following quarter. Previous winners are not eligible to win again. The approximate retail value of the prize is $10 USD. The prize consists of one randomly selected, autographed publication by Patrick R. F. Blakley and a postcard-style note. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged. Prizes will be shipped via USPS from New York State, USA. This promotion is void where prohibited by law and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Instagram, Facebook, or any other platform.
