Clinics & Consulting Services

PATRICK R. F. BLAKLEY
CLINICIAN

  • If your marching band or indoor drumline is in need of a customized percussion score, I offer professional writing services with a fast turnaround. Each score is carefully written to match the realistic ability level of your ensemble, helping performers grow and improve throughout the season without being pushed beyond their capabilities. If you already have an existing percussion score but need revisions, adjustments, or modifications to better suit your group, I can assist with that as well.

If you are simply looking for warmup material, a complete drumline and front ensemble warmup packet is available for immediate download at DrumPacket.com. Better yet, you can pay whatever you want for it!

  • If you need help developing your show concept, I can assist with that as well. I have experience designing productions for marching band, winterguard, and indoor percussion ensembles, helping groups shape ideas into clear and effective performance concepts.

If you already have a completed show and would simply like a second set of eyes on it, I also offer design consultations. These sessions can help refine pacing, clarity, staging, and overall effectiveness. Consultations are available both in person and virtually.

  • Need help staging your indoor percussion show? I specialize in writing drumline drill that is achievable for your ensemble’s skill level while still being visually effective. Each design is created to support your theme or concept and to help performers move confidently while maintaining strong musical performance.

I can work with both new shows and existing designs, providing patterns, transitions, and visual layouts that enhance the overall performance. My approach takes into account spacing, timing, and movement flow, ensuring that each drill is practical for your performers while maximizing the impact of your show. I’m also available for collaborative consultations, giving you guidance and adjustments as your ensemble rehearses so the drill continues to improve alongside the music.

  • If you need help establishing a strong starting point with your drumline, refining elements of your show, or improving overall performance, I am available for in-person drumline clinics at any location. Clinics can be tailored for any ability level, any group size, and any duration depending on your program’s needs.

Sessions can focus on areas such as technique development, rehearsal structure and sequencing, sound production, ensemble balance, and performance approach. The goal is to give performers and staff clear tools that can immediately improve rehearsal efficiency and musical results.
